We came for the casino floor and stayed for the complete hotel experience. The tables were well organised, the room was quiet, and the staff made every part of the evening easy to navigate.

I travel to Atlantic Canada every August and had always stayed in Fredericton or Halifax - Charlottetown always seemed too small to anchor a whole trip, and Nexoriahotelhouse changed that calculation entirely. The Sandbar Table menu was the single best seafood meal I've had north of Portland, and I say that as someone who grew up eating lobster twice a week. The gaming's mezzanine level has an energy that kept me at the baccarat table two hours longer than I planned, which is either a complaint or a compliment depending on how the night ends.

I came to PEI following the Anne of Green Gables trail - a very literary reason to end up at a hotel and gaming resort, I fully admit. The staff at the concierge desk built me a full-day cycling route along the red-shore roads that I never would have found in a guidebook, and I returned each evening to the most comfortable bed I've slept in outside of my own home. The live music on the Tidal Stage on Saturday night reminded me of a smaller, warmer version of a Dublin session, which is the highest compliment an Irish woman can offer.
